Our Customers Say

"Our family has hired ServiceMaster Advantage on many occasions, and we have been impressed every single time. Last year we experienced severe flooding in our basement. Jeff Turner deployed his recovery team immediately. The service techs were very professional and efficient. This spring, we had more flooding in our window wells. Again, ServiceMaster Advantage responded right away and were at my home within the hour to pump water before it reached the interior of my home. And just last week, I hired ServiceMaster to clean carpets and upholstery. Again, I was impressed. They carpet cleaner used a very safe, non-toxic method to clean and pulled up stains that I didn't think could be removed. I highly recommend ServiceMaster Advantage for disaster recovery or cleaning needs."

Healthy businesses are strong businesses.

Your workplace is a strategic business tool, and one of your biggest assets is your workforce. Take care of your business and your people by switching to green cleaning today.

Sustainable buildings benefit from certain government incentives, as well as financial gains due to increased employee health and productivity as well as decreased attrition rate and operating costs.* The best part is, as more and more business switch to green technology, the individual impact of each increases!

Research has shown that facilities that switch to green cleaning have:

  • Healthier employees
  • Lower operating costs and greater access to governmental financial incentives
  • Positive environmental impacts

Green cleaning will help building managers create a safe, healthy facility. Green cleaning is also a quick way to earn LEED points!

Healthier employees—your business at its best.

30% of U.S. workers suffer from Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). SBS is a condition that arises when occupants of a building – like employees – are overexposed to volatile organic compounds from carpeting and furniture, inadequate air circulation, poor lighting, mold buildup, and disruptive temperature variances. These conditions contribute to nausea, respiratory problems, skin rashes, lethargy, headaches and many other health problems that result in increased sick days and absences.

Since this problem was identified, many studies have shown that switching to green cleaning leads to reduced employee illness**. The Indoor Environment Department at the Lawrence Berkley National Design Laboratory in California found in 2002 that the improved air quality resulting from the use of green technologies can lower SBS symptoms by 20% to 50%, cold and influenza by 9% to 20%, and allergies and asthma by 8% to 25%.

Green cleaning has the same cleaning effectiveness as traditional cleaning, but also eliminates harmful chemical buildup and the circulation of toxins. So, with little or no cost increase, the return on investment for switching to green cleaning is immense***.

Incentives and programs: lower operating costs and financial incentives.

Switching to green cleaning can save your business money and make it more efficient. There are also several government programs and agencies in place to reward your efforts.

But don't forget the big picture: a positive environmental impact!

The direct human benefits of switching to green cleaning are immediate, but the additional long-term relief for the environment is enormous.

Commercial buildings in the United States account for 17% of the country's water usage, 33% of the energy usage, 40% of raw material consumption, and 71% of electricity usage. They also produce 40% of total landfill waste in America, 33% of the carbon dioxide, 49% of the sulfur dioxide, and 10% of the particulare emissions. If each commercial building could reduce its resource usage and waste by just a small amount, the impact on the entire country would be vast!

Take this one small step forward. Your commitment to green technologies will help one more company switch, and increase the overall effort to protect our environment.
